In this modern day of publishing, where many writers are wholly dependant on themselves for promotions and marketing, and the choices for exercising those options are truly limitless, picking and choosing isn't just a good idea, it's the only way you can keep sane.

The moral of the story is this: no matter how brilliant you are at marketing, if you don't give your novel the care and feeding it deserves, all your hard work will be for naught. Just a thought.
